ICT Kill Zone clock widget
A small live clock for your site: the Kill Zone open now and the next one, in every reader's own time zone. Free, no account.
The clock in the preview is exactly what your readers will see: the ICT Kill Zone that is open right now and when it ends, or the one that opens next and how long is left — in the time zone of whoever is reading, with daylight saving worked out by their own browser. It is made by LSG Club, a club of ICT traders, and it is free to embed on any blog, forum, course page or trading community site.
How to add the Kill Zone clock to your site
- Choose the theme, the language and the size above. «Follows the reader» switches between light and dark with the reader's system setting.
- Leave the time zone on «Each reader's own» unless your whole audience lives in one city — then fix it, for example to Europe/London.
- Copy the code and paste it into an HTML block of your page. Most site builders and blog engines have one, usually called Custom HTML or Embed.
- Publish. The clock keeps itself up to date every few seconds; there is nothing to renew or update later.
What the widget shows
The windows are the ICT Kill Zones as ICT defines them, in New York local time: the Asian Kill Zone from 20:00 to 00:00 on the evening before the trading day, the London Kill Zone from 02:00 to 05:00 and the New York Kill Zone from 07:00 to 10:00. Only trading days count, Monday to Friday, so on a Saturday the clock points to the Asian Kill Zone that opens on Sunday evening, New York time. The same three windows tag every trade in the free trading journal, so a reader who journals with the club sees the same labels there.
Why a live Kill Zone clock helps your readers
Most Kill Zone mistakes are about time rather than about the setup. A trader in Sydney or Dubai converts New York time in their head, forgets that America moved its clocks a week or more before Europe did, and waits for London an hour late. A live clock on a page they already read removes the arithmetic. For every Kill Zone on any date, point readers to the Kill Zone time converter; for the rules of trading inside the windows, the guide to forex Kill Zone trading goes deeper.
Privacy and page speed
- No cookies, no local storage and no tracking: the clock is a static page and works everything out in the reader's browser.
- It loads two small files from lsgclub.trade and nothing else — no web fonts and no scripts from other domains.
- The iframe loads lazily, so it costs nothing until the reader scrolls down to it.
- The only thing it reads is the reader's time zone, from the browser, and that never leaves the page.
The short line under the clock links to LSG Club. Please keep it: it is how the tool stays free — readers who want more can find the journal, and everyone else simply gets an accurate clock.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Kill Zone widget free?
Yes. It is free for any website, commercial or not, with no account and no limit on views. The only request is to keep the small LSG Club credit line under it.
Does the clock follow daylight saving time?
Yes. The windows are anchored to New York time and the reader's own time zone comes from their browser's time zone data, so the clock changes in America, Europe or Australia land on the right dates.
Can I show the times of one city instead of each reader's own?
Yes. Pick a time zone in the builder and the code fixes it, for example Europe/London. For an international audience, leave it on «Each reader's own».
Will the widget slow my page down?
No. It is a few kilobytes, loads only when it scrolls into view and runs no third-party code.
